Q. I'd love to wow our guests with an amazing first dance but my partner isn't so sure! How can we compromise and perform something that we're both comfortable with?

A. Arthur Murray says: In order to make your first dance as amazing and memorable as possible, we invite our clients to join us at one of our three London studios for a consultation dance. Here, we will support you in your discovery of which style suits you best. Whether you like a slow and romantic waltz or a Latin-flavour tango, by having this initial session we can establish what style suits you as a couple.

We encourage you to bring in two or three pieces of music, which you and your partner love. This will help you feel at ease, with the music creating a sense of familiarity. Together, we can tap into your emotions for the song and help you to feel comfortable to learn your special dance together.
