May/June 2022

I don’t know about you guys but I’m feeling in a celebratory mood at the moment. This time of the year’s the perfect pick-me-up – I love the longer days, the brighter weather’s making me go outdoors and enjoy what nature has to offer and the hint that summer’s around the corner puts a smile on my face.

Not only that, but June also sees the country come together to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, an event that we can all take inspiration from for our own special occasions. 70 years is something to be proud of for sure. My grandparents celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary recently – what an achievement to meet your soulmate, tie the knot and all those years later still be celebrating. My husband and I have been married for 19 years (I’m definitely not old enough!) so we’ve got a while yet before we hit that milestone but when we do, I’m sure we’ll still be partying!

That takes us nicely into our entertainment feature over on page 61. Head there to get the lowdown on London’s top options for your big-day party. If it’s outfit inspiration you need, turn to our dressing the bridal party feature on page 55 or check out our stunning countryside shoot on page 51. Local pros share how to inject seasonal brights into your day on page 84 and our real weddings are brimming with colour, blooms and good old-fashioned love on pages 33, 38 and 45.

I’ve loved creating this issue for you. It’s brimming with so much springtime vibes and I hope you enjoy reading it just as much!

Happy planning!

Drapers' Hall

Drapers’ Hall is a hidden oasis in the city of London that offers an idyllic and picturesque setting.

Whether Drapers’ Hall is chosen to host a small intimate wedding breakfast or the grandest of celebrations, the venue’s available for exclusive use including its two outdoor spaces.

The Drapers’ Garden’s perfect for entertaining up to 180 guests on warm evenings and the Courtyard provides another separate outdoor space for evening receptions.

Although this venue’s not licensed for ceremonies, you can host a blessing here and it provides an exquisite setting for receptions, which take place in The Drawing Room. Peaceful and elegant, the Drawing Room can host a champagne drinks reception followed by the wedding breakfast with up to 276 friends and family.

When tying the knot here, couples are offered a complimentary menu tasting and will benefit from an incredibly simple planning process, with all of the essentials included, plus elegant candelabra centrepiece, dancefloor and a Steinway classic grand piano.

Studio move for renowned London florist

Studio move for renowned London florist

Southeast London's Pesh Flowers has moved from being a busy high street florist to being studio-based, to enable award-winning owner, Elaine Graham to focus more on her passion, which is wedding floristry and styling. Made using 95% recycled materials, the purpose-built studio's nestled in a tree filled garden with its own growing patch that's full to bursting with beautiful seasonal flowers. All blooms are grown from seed, making every bouquet completely bespoke and personal to each bride. Consultations take place at the studio, so you'll see some of the flowers growing that might be used for your wedding.
