Hello, lovely London couples! Thanks so much for joining us this issue. Well, what a turbulent year it’s been so far. While writing this, things are still a little foggy and we’re not sure how restrictions will evolve when it comes to weddings. One thing is clear though: this is the time to focus on what’s important. And weddings are the escapism we all need right now.

Whether you’re opting to host a small celebration that’s brimming with personal touches for close family or you’ve decided to pull out all the stops and throw the ultimate party when this is all over, there’s no wrong way of doing things. Now’s the time to go with your gut. This issue is full of inspiration, advice and incredible suppliers who’ll treat your big day like their own. We’ve been in awe of the support the London wedding industry has shown couples over the last few months.

So pop the kettle on, settle down and get ready to be inspired by incredible real weddings (page 36), drool over the capital’s best caterers (page 60) and find your dream dress (page 68). Don’t forget, we’re offering our full back catalogue of digital magazines for free at this time – just head to our website.

Merchant Taylor's Hall

Stepping through the blue doors of this 700-year-old building on Threadneedle Street is like stepping into a different world. The stunning architecture and ornamental features tell a story of British history, while its Gothic window frames display a contrast against the contemporary London skyline. At the heart of the hall is the stone-flagged, fragrant Courtyard Garden, complete with water fountain and abundant flowers.

This exclusive-use venue offers a range of memorable spaces. Ceremonies are held in the magnificent 14th-century Great Hall with its 13-metre high ceilings, stained-glass windows and twinkling chandeliers. Smaller ceremonies of up to 90 people can opt for the wood-panelled Parlour or the pretty Drawing Room with its 18th-century hand-painted Chinese silk wallpaper. With a beautiful courtyard in the middle to host drinks, there are also nine spaces to choose from to accommodate an intimate reception or a grand affair of 350 loved ones.

Waxing 101 with Sugar Coated

Beauty therapist, and Sugar Coated sugar wax founder Rosie Khandwala gives her best tips to perfect the at-home wax, including how to deal with ingrown hairs, wax strip technique, and the dreaded bikini wax!Waxing removes hair from the roots. Shaving on the other hand cuts the hair from the surface ofthe skin. The regrowth with waxing is finer and slower as you do it more frequently, whereas shaving can cause hair to grow thicker and stronger and give a stubble feeling as hair regrows.Using a warm wax means the product is sticky and adheres to the hair. The warmth of the product will also open up the pores and loosen the hair resulting in hair being pulled from the root.
