Sarah McFadyen, 29, married Simon Chaplin, 31, at St Alfege Church, Greenwich followed by a reception at The Trafalgar Tavern on 25th July, 2017.
We're both teachers and St Alfege is our local church – we take our classes here for music lessons, Christmas services and school trips so it's special to us.
We had our first date at The Trafalgar Tavern, but we'd never seen the banqueting suite upstairs. We were amazed at how beautiful and classic it is – and the views are incredible.
I was convinced I wanted a tea-length dress and tried on numerous designs. However, my mum convinced me to look at some full-length gowns just to be sure. When I tried on Adelaide by Justin Alexander, I knew it was the perfect style for me.
We hired a Routemaster to transport guests between the ceremony and reception venues. It was great to catch up with everyone on the bus and the photos are fantastic.
Choosing the bridesmaids' dresses was easier than I'd expected. When two of the girls picked out these pale blue beaded gowns and tried them on, I was sold.
We wanted an English-garden feel for the flowers as I come from a family of green-fingered folk. My bouquet was made up of Dancing Cloud roses, eucalyptus, gypsophila and astrantia.
Our band, the FatCats, were amazing, playing rocknroll classics in homage to my nan.
