Hello lovely readers, and welcome to another issue of Your London Wedding!
As the warmer weather starts to fade and the darker evenings creep in, it’s time to welcome autumn with open arms. There’s nothing better than an autumnal stroll hand-in-hand; plus, I’m a jumper girl at heart and love wrapping up warm. I’m in heaven when getting cosy on the sofa with a blanket and hot chocolate while watching my favourite Halloween film. I’m a big kid, so I couldn’t be more excited to go pumpkin picking and bringing out my cottage-core decorations around my home. I’ve also challenged myself to do homemade baking – I’ve made butter, jam and chutneys. My next goal is to create the perfect homemade bread and rolls!
The scenery has embraced shares of orange, red and yellow this time of year, which creates the ultimate backdrop for weddings. Embrace the rich tones and seasonal foliage in your venue styling for autumnal nuptials – I’m talking berries, acorns, dahlias and hydrangeas. This can also be transpired throughout your stationery, florals and cake. Add incense around your venue with scents like pumpkin spice or cinnamon for that extra wow factor. Fill your venue with candles to enhance the romantic atmosphere; we suggest LED candles as a safe, child-friendly alternative.
There are many ways to add special seasonal touches to your day. Have you considered a hot chocolate station with marshmallows, syrups and chocolate flakes? Add a box of blankets to keep loved ones from getting chilly when the temperature drops in the evening, and why not offer spice-scented candles for wedding favours? We love seeing couples take guests outside to enjoy sparklers and fireworks to light up the dark sky while ending the night with a bang.
For those just starting their wedding journey, autumn is the perfect time to visit a few wedding shows to discover plenty of companies and look around venues. Meeting suppliers in person will allow you to gauge what the team are like and if they’re a good fit for your day. You can view their work, keep up-to-date with the latest trends, find inspiration and ask plenty of questions. Some suppliers even offer special discounts or offers at events, so grab your loved ones for a fun day of wedding planning.
This issue is bursting full of inspiration thanks to the wonderful suppliers around London! We have autumnal must-haves, draw-dropping weddings, showstopping venues, expert advice, gowns galore and top honeymoon destinations. Flick to our beauty pages to discover the latest product launches and wellness advice, or discover all the latest happenings from around the city across our news pages. We also have whole features dedicated to wedding catering and boutiques to help the planning process.
That’s all from me; happy planning!

Glaziers Hall
Glaziers Hall is situated on the Southbank, less than a minute walk from London Bridge station. The building can be seen in all its glory from London Bridge. Set against a London skyline, with the Shard in the background, the historic architecture and history makes this unique building so captivating. With access from the ‘Nancy steps’, made famous by featuring in the film Oliver, Glaziers Hall has large glass doors that lead to a modern entrance with a large open-plan foyer. Couples are spoilt for choice with seven exquisite spaces, all steeped in history and unique charm. Whether planning intimate gatherings or large celebrations to include loved ones – there’s something for everyone. Ceremonies take place with up to 70 loved ones in River View. Boasting floor-to-ceiling glazed arches, it’s a light and bright space with panoramic views of the River Thames and the city.
For larger nuptials of up to 300, the Banqueting Hall is full of splendour and charm, with floor-to-ceiling drapes. The team can open the walls to showcase the workmanship of the Glaziers or close to creating a blank canvas space. While chandeliers adorn the ceilings, the Banqueting Hall also benefits from the latest technology and equipment to help support increasingly complex events. Alternatively, couples can opt for the Court Room (180), a historic space set out in a theatre-style, or London Bridge Arches is perfect for up to 100 guests. The latter, opened in 2018 following a major multi-million-pound refurbishment framed by the most incredible stonework. The collective of interconnecting stone vaults creates a single wonderous space, often favoured by those who want to make a showstopping impact. Post-vows, receptions occur in London Bridge Arches for 110 guests, Banqueting Hall (300) and River View (70).
When tying the knot here, preferred catering partner Life’s Kitchen will meet any expectations. From the delicious food, complimentary drinks and superb waiting staff, they’ll ensure everything runs smoothly. Once a date has been agreed upon, couples benefit from a menu tasting with up to four guests to discuss menu choices and try the wines for the day.
