London Community Gospel Choir will be at The Royal Albert Hall on December 2019 for the second year running with its Gospel Christmas!
Now into their 36th anniversary, the choir is now more active than ever. From humble beginnings in 1982 they have gone on to become Europe's leading Gospel choir and one of the most in demand choirs in Europe. Creating a wall of soulful sound that is both memorable and inspirational.
The choir regularly grace many of the UK's greatest stages such as Wembley Stadium (FA Cup Final), the Royal Albert Hall and are regulars at Glastonbury Festival. 'The nation's favourite choir' are the first point of call for a variety of major recording artists including Madonna, Kylie, Sting, Paul McCartney, Brian May, Gregory Porter, Tina Turner and The Stereophonics. World record attempts, film premieres, television and radio appearances as well as theatre collaborations illustrate the choir's intention to break boundaries and display true versatility. An eclectic mix of races, ages and backgrounds make the choir a truly special blend of talent, voices and personalities.
Collaborations include Damon Albarn, National Theatre, Sam Smith and Madonna at the Brit Awards and Grammy Awards and the X Factor! They gave a critically acclaimed performance at the British premiere of the Martin Luther King biopic 'Selma' and performed for Her Majesty The Queen at the Patron's Lunch for her 90th Birthday. Choir leader Bazil Meade MBE's vision of fusing together his two passions, his music and faith, have served thousands of fans well so far. The future looks bright.
