As part of a wider sustainability strategy, Blue Strawberry Group has announced that, commencing in January, 2020, the company will plant a tree for every event confirmed.
It has been reported widely that planting billions of trees across the world is the most efficient and cost-effective way of tackling the climate crisis. Leading scientists have advised that as the trees grow, they absorb and store carbon dioxide emissions which are currently driving global heating. Two-thirds of all emissions in the atmosphere resulting from human activity could be removed by an international planting programme.
Founders of Blue Strawberry and Table Talk, Molly Watson and Jojo Browner (respectively) celebrated the launch of this new initiative by planting the first sapling – a white lilac 'Madame Lemoine' tree on the company's headquarters roof terrace in Stockwell.
