Tell us about your business...
I bring a fresh approach to the traditional art of dressmaking. I work across bridal, stage and screen delivering expert alterations and bespoke commissions. I work with each customer to bring their design to life, with my core values of craftsmanship and sustainability.
What's your background and why did you launch Grace Lane London?
I trained at Alexander McQueen, Gieves and Hawkes and Angels the Costumiers. Having learnt from the best I set up Grace Lane London in 2016, with a focus on expert pattern-cutting and garment construction. I discovered the wonderful world of bridal when I made my best friend's bridesmaids' dresses, I knew that my bespoke skills had found their home!

What's your top tip for brides looking for their dream dress? Grace Colquhoun | Grace Lane London
My top tip is to get your dress expertly fitted; this will transform the way you feel in your dress. Alterations will really elevate your look, here at Grace Lane London I do major restyles or just a simple hem.
Recently I worked with a bride to redesign her Mum's original 1970's wedding dress, there are so many possibilities when it comes to alterations!
What's been the highlight of your career so far?
I have had the honour of seeing my work in music videos, on stage, and in print. As well as working closely with my amazing bridal clients to bring their custom-made wedding dresses to life. From tailoring celebrity wedding dresses to making the costumes for Westlife's arena tour it's difficult to pick a favourite! I'm grateful to do what I love for a living.
