London is number one place to pop the question

New research has revealed that, despite the pandemic, London is the number one place to pop the question in the UK. The study, by family-owned jeweller Beaverbrooks, analysed more than 10,000 proposal hashtags to find that the capital had almost half (47%) of the proposals.

"It's no surprise that London takes the top spot, with a whopping 47% of engagement ring selfies taken there," says Lorna Haddon, head of diamond rings and jewellery at Beaverbrooks. "With so many great sights and famous backdrops to choose from, it's no wonder Londoners and tourists alike love proposing in the city."
