Q Tell us a little bit about your background – what led you into bridal beauty?
I grew up in Thailand where art is an important part of people's life. When I was young, I went to many Buddhist temples where I saw a lot colour and crafts. I started drawing and painting when I was very young. These inspired me to become a make-up artist. Thai people also celebrate their wedding by going to temples to pray and wish for good luck, this also led me into bridal beauty. Q Talk us through your signature style? Who is your typical bride? My signature make-up style is colourful. Although for brides, of course, it's all about them and the look they'd like to achieve. I specialised in catering for every skin tone and I can suggest which shades will suit a bride best but ultimately, it's their wedding day and they must follow their heart.
Q What's your favourite make-up brand? I don't have particular go-to brands, I tend to select a product on the basis of whether it will work for my client. A few are consistently good quality, such as Kryolan, Estee Lauder, Urban Decay and MAC.
Q What are your favourite trends of the season and what are brides requesting for 2019? The direction for a lot of brides in 2019 will be a more natural look for both make-up and hair, an easy and laid-back vibe will dominate. Q What's your favourite area of London and why? I'm based in Islington very close to central London but I also love to travel to my clients throughout the city.
